Winery Online Reviews: Why They Matter

Online reviews have a direct correlation to the amount of traffic you get to your tasting room. And as you know the amount of visitors you have has a direct correlation to how much wine you sell. So it matters, a lot.
Here is how it works. Google now displays online review scores in search results. This means when people are planning their tasting room tour in advance on their desktop or on their mobile phones, they are going to pick who they visit by the amount of positive reviews the winery has.
Which winery do you think someone visiting Napa would go taste in? Chances are they are not going to visit Ceja Vineyards, not because they are not a great winery, but because no one has reviewed them.
The same goes for Yelp. If I go into Yelp and check out the highest rated Napa wineries, this is what I find. From this list, I can plan out my whole tasting tour that day.
